🌾 Product Description

Kuttu Atta, Straight from the Farm.
Kisan Kaka Kuttu Atta is made from buckwheat grown at Sehorewale Farm and ground slowly on stone. Nothing is added, so you get a single-ingredient flour with a fine texture and a naturally rich, nutty flavour.

It is a traditional favourite for rotis, puris, pakoras and porridge, and a popular flour for Navratri and other fasting (vrat) days.

🍲 How to Use

  • Kuttu Roti / Paratha: Knead with boiled mashed potato, sendha namak and warm water. Cook on a hot tawa with ghee.
  • Kuttu Puri: Make a firm dough with potato, roll small rounds and deep fry.
  • Kuttu Pakora: Whisk into a thick batter with spices and vegetables, then fry until crisp.
  • Kuttu Porridge: Roast lightly and cook with milk or water, sweeten to taste.

Tip: Buckwheat dough has no gluten and is delicate. Adding boiled potato and rolling gently between butter paper helps prevent cracking.

❓ FAQs

Is kuttu atta the same as buckwheat flour?

Yes. Kuttu is the Hindi name for buckwheat, and kuttu atta is flour ground from buckwheat seeds.

Is kuttu atta gluten-free?

Buckwheat is naturally free of gluten and is not related to wheat. If you have coeliac disease or a severe allergy, please check the allergen note and consult your doctor.

Can I eat it during Navratri fasting?

Yes, kuttu atta is one of the most common flours used on Navratri and other vrat days. Use it with sendha (rock) salt.

Why does kuttu dough break while rolling?

Buckwheat has no gluten, so the dough is delicate. Mixing in boiled potato and rolling gently between butter paper gives soft, crack-free rotis and puris.

What is the shelf life?

6 months from the packing date, if stored properly in a cool, dry, airtight container.
